Karooli
Pitch Deck · Pre-Seed · 2026

Redefining human connection
with technology.

Without pretending to replace it.

Everyone's building tools.

Karooli is a product lab for what tools won't fix. Loneliness. The friction of meeting people. The slow absence of being known. Three products in build. Vesspr is the first to ship.

01 Founders

Three founders.
Built to ship a product like this.

At pre-seed, the bet is on people. Here's who we are.

Taste · Design · CEO

Vaibhav, 25

  • Grew up in a village with no internet. Self-taught coding at age 13, from books.
  • Computer Science, Delhi University. Founded his first company at 19, shut it down a year later.
  • Six years leading product and design at Chisel, Mercor, Rario, Pendo, Theom, and others. Products that crossed hundreds of millions of users combined.
  • One of the highest-paid designers in India.

At Karooli, design and product feel aren’t a feature. They’re the company.

Cracked Engineer · CTO

Kendrick, 27

  • IIT Roorkee graduate.
  • Engineered data sync and real-time thread tracking at Optum (UHG).
  • Co-founded Chisel Labs (acquired by Pendo). At Pendo, built an abstraction layer that automates user workflows over legacy systems.
  • Architected Vesspr's memory layer: the part that holds recurring threads, unsaid context, and what changed week to week.

Year-one architecture decisions are what separate products that scale from ones that plateau.

Story · Creative Director · CMO

Sachin, 27

  • Award-winning filmmaker and storyteller.
  • Directed campaigns and creative work for Google Cloud, UNICEF, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Teach For India, Nestlé, and Emma.
  • One of the sharpest brand marketers in India. The kind whose taste turns product launches into cultural moments.
  • Director of Nothing Grows Under The Pine Trees (Special Jury Mention, Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival, 2024; Best Film from the Himalayas, 2nd Mussoorie International Film Festival). Earlier work on The Last Rhododendron (dir. Yashasvi Juyal), Gender Sensitivity Award at Dharamshala International Film Festival.

Day-one acquisition lives in design. Day-two return lives in story.

02 The thesis

Building got cheap.
What you build got important.

A team can ship a product in a weekend. The question has shifted from “can we build this?” to “should this exist?” When everyone can build, what's left to compete on is taste, technical depth, and the story you tell.

We didn't start with a market gap. We started with a kind of pain the people around us kept describing, in different words, at different ages, in different stages of life. Karooli is the company we built to work on it, one product at a time. Each one has to pass the same filter before we ship.

“Does this solve something real for someone who is actually struggling?”

01

Taste

When building is cheap, how something feels is what differentiates.

02

Deep tech

Architecture competitors can't copy on a weekend is what compounds.

03

Story

Consumer products win on how people feel about them, not just what they do.

03 The problem Vesspr solves

The world got better at connecting people.
People got lonelier anyway.

This isn't a product hunch. It's one of the most documented public health crises of the decade. The US Surgeon General declared it an epidemic in 2023.

1 in 2

US adults report feeling lonely.

US Surgeon General · 2023
57%

of Europeans aged 18–35 feel moderately or severely lonely.

Bertelsmann Stiftung · 2024
871K

WHO Commission on Social Connection · 2025

The problem isn't that people have no one. It's that no one goes first. Technology made it easy to reply. Initiating is the part that broke. Vesspr is built for that.

04 What Vesspr is

A friend who
shows up first.

An AI companion that lives where you already are: WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage, and voice today. Web and mobile apps in development. No new behavior to learn.

Unlike every other product in the category, Vesspr initiates. It checks in first, remembers what you mentioned three weeks ago, and follows up before you do.

Vesspr, an AI companion that checks in on you first
What makes it different

Every competitor waits for the user to open the app. Vesspr is the only one that initiates, and that single design choice is the wedge everything else builds on.

01

Proactive initiation.

Replika, Character.AI, and Nomi all wait for the user to open the app. Vesspr texts first. The data we’re collecting on what makes someone reply to an AI’s check-in at 9pm on a Sunday, six weeks into the relationship, doesn’t exist anywhere else.

02

Lives where you already are.

Every competitor needs you to install their app, the commitment most users never make. Vesspr already runs in WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage, and voice, with first-party web and mobile apps in development. Competitors spent years getting one channel right; we built across four from day one.

03

Memory that holds context across weeks.

Vesspr’s memory tracks recurring anxieties, unfinished conversations, and the small things someone mentioned and never came back to. Users can read, edit, or erase what Vesspr remembers about them, line by line.

04

Non-romantic by design.

Italy fined Replika €5.6M. Character.AI is in active litigation over a teen suicide case. Vesspr is non-romantic by design, which keeps us shippable in markets the competition is being pulled out of.

05 Closed beta signal

Not market traction yet.
Early signal we're already seeing.

Vesspr is in a closed private beta of [N] users. These aren't market-scale numbers. They're a small cohort, picked deliberately, run for [N] weeks. The point is whether the core thesis holds: do people come back, and do they reply when Vesspr reaches out first.

06 How Vesspr compares

Five dimensions.
One winner.

We ranked every major competitor on the five things that matter in this category. No one product holds all five. Vesspr is the first designed to.

Vesspr lives across WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage, and voice, channels with billions of users between them. Zero credible product is built directly at the loneliness problem itself; most are general-purpose assistants borrowed from another category.

07 The lab roadmap

Three products.
One lab.

Karooli is built to ship more than one product. Vesspr is the first to ship. Peekin and Journal Dating are in active build, each on its own arc. Beyond these three, the lab keeps shipping consumer products on the same filter.

Combined addressable market across the lab's three products runs into the hundreds of billions. But the point is the lab, not any one product. Three different problems, one team, one bar.

08 The ask

$3M

Pre-seed · 2026

$3M funds Karooli through 18 months. Vesspr to public launch. Peekin and Journal Dating into public beta. The team, brand, and infrastructure that compound across every product the lab ships after.

Use of funds18-month plan
  • 50%Team. Hiring across engineering, design, growth, and ops. The team that ships every product the lab builds.
  • 20%Vesspr launch. Paid + creator-led GTM for the public launch. CAC-tested before any scale.
  • 15%Multi-product build. Take Peekin and Journal Dating from closed alpha to public beta. New product slot for what ships after.
  • 10%Shared infrastructure. Messaging BSP & voice infra, LLM inference, memory store, observability. Same stack underneath every product.
  • 5%Reserve. Buffer to extend runway past the 18-month plan if needed.

Allocation is indicative. Adjust based on round size and lead terms.

We're not building for an exit. We're building Karooli, the lab where every product compounds on the last one. Three shipping by 2027. More after.

with love from,

Vaibhav, Kendrick & Sachin
